Nakuha ko rin sa Wikipedia yun tungkol sa Versomina and may nagpabura dun. Buti na lang nakopya ko pa. Baka kasuhan nila ako, hintayin ko kayo Porn king.
Allegations of Pornography
On October 10, 2007, the National Bureau of Investigation raided the offices of Versomina because sources alleged that Aquino et. al. were involved in making pornographic websites for US-based companies.
13 people, including Aquino, were charged with violation of Article 201 (obscene publications and exhibitions and indecent shows) of the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines.
Questionable Business Practices
Employees have complained about the questionable business practices and oppressive work environment at Versomina. Among the allegations that they have put forward:
Income Tax Returns have not been issued.
Various fees have been deducted from employees salaries, but the payments to the corresponding goverment offices have not been paid.
Oppressive work practices that brings down morale and gives a feeling of being victimized.
The company changes its name every year and gives the impression that it is a new company every time, thus evading taxes.
Ex-employees are being spied on.
Resignations are not being honored; employees are forced to go AWOL. Then they are sued for breach of contract.
Employees are required to pay a Php 10,000 salary bond to tie them to the company for six months. Then the money is not returned to them.
Employees who speak out against Versomina/Aquino are being sued.
All these complaints are found on the blog Alimuom.
Libel Cases
Because employees have been very vocal about their problems with Versomina, they have since begun to post their issues on the web. Countless topics have been opened on forums that detail how it was working at Versomina. One such forum would was Greedy Old Dumbass.
Since most members who were rallying against Aquino were anonymous, Aquino filed a libel suit against the administrators of Greedy Old Dumbass and their webhost.
Abe Olandres, who used to host Greedy Old Dumbass, was also included in the libel case. He maintains that the website in question was not hosted on his servers the time the ceast-and-desist was issued, yet still he was included in the suit. The case against Olandres was dismissed.
Soon, another case was filed against dotPH, the domain registry of the Philippines, for one blog hosted in their i.PH blog service. The blog, called Alimuom, was a collection of complaints against Versomina and Aquino. dotPH maintains that they are just providing a service and that they are not aware nor responsible for whatever was put in the blog. In fact, they are providing an avenue for free speech and they challenged Aquino to challenge the allegations through the same avenue. Aquino merely says that he is not into free speech and that his way is to file lawsuits.
Joel Disini, dotPH CEO, has since come out with a statement challenging Versomina ex-employees to come out and provide him with information that the allegations against Versomina/Aquino are true.
This must have an emphasis for those who are applying and going to take their first job.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who already read the post of this blogger, believe him. My tip for those who are already hired and going to sign a contract, don't dare signing on it. You're signature is in favor of them.
Meaning, once you signed that, you are already their slaves that must follow their orders whether you like it or not.
If you want to work there and don't want to have a little bit holiday, have double deductions, receive ailments, get sued and lose almost PHP75,000.00 voluntarily resigned or awol, then sign that damn contract.
By the way, does anyone notice the logo of Stratvisions or StratVisionsPH? It is similar to the logo of bitdefender. Just search these two and see for yourselves. They only change it a little thus making it their own logo.
